Holiday reads

Holiday reads

My official holiday starts in a few hours (my mind, if not yet my body, has officially left the building) and already I can’t wait to delve into some holiday reads.

As well as reacquainting myself with the beach, going on picnics, baking, making and eating the equivalent of my body weight over the course of the next few weeks, I’m really looking forward to just sitting (lying) still for a few hours with a glass of wine getting hooked into some new reads, and reacquainting myself with some old favourites (hello Jane Austin, I’ve missed you).

For my new reads I can’t wait to finish the latest Donna Tartt (The Goldfinch), give The Luminaries a good go but at 1000+ pages I would have to be ultra committed to one book only, and frankly when it comes to books only polygamy works. Ahem.

For old times sake, I might give dear Bridget Jones a whirl and the latest Kate Atkinson novel “Life after life” looks pretty intriguing too.

And I won’t be able to resist tucking into some design and home decor books too.

So many books, so little time. And the holidays haven’t even started yet.

What books are you going to hang out with these holidays?
